Usually, when any of us humans go “Whoa! I need to change something about my body!” it's often the belly that we notice first. Of course, this is why you're here reading my website! However, the foundation of the problem is not the belly at all. Rather, your tum tum is a symptom of an over all body fat percentage increase. So instead of focusing on just ways on how to reduce the tummy, think of your body as a whole. The trick is to work on the whole body and as everything improves so too with your stomach.
The Great Health Benefits Of Water
One of my favourite cure for just about anything is the purifying power of taking in water. There are many reasons this is important in addition to reducing body fat. First, is that you will literally flush the fat away when you first start increasing your water intake. Another reason is that when you increase your water intake, you will automatically be drinking less of the other non-healthy drinks.
A lot of our old “comfort” friends such as coffee, juices, power drinks and other popular favourites actually contribute considerably to increasing your intake of calories and storage of unwanted fat. Stay way from these drinks and just stick to water. This alone will make a significant change in how your body handles and metabolizes food and your body fitness.
The Freedom Of Packing Snacks
Speaking of food, once you know what food you should eat, that is, which foods and food combinations are good for you, you must find ways to making sure you always eat them. My major challenge is when I’m out and about and not in my kitchen where all the wonderful health food I bought actually is. When you're out of the house for too long, grabbing a slice or burger can be a quick and easy compromise a lot of us make on a regular basis. However, if you plan ahead and take a healthy “grab and go” snack with you when you go out, you'll always have it handy in case you are out longer than planned and need to eat.
This habit is actually a bit of a money saver too. So, not only will you have the physique of “one of those health food snobs” that are too good for the food of the commoners (i.e., fast food), but you're also saving a buck or two as well! A buck or two that you can add to your money jar you've been saving to buy that tight figure-hugging dress or sport shirt you've been dreaming to wear to show off that awesome figure you are working on! Doesn't success feel and look great?!
Working With The Mind
The best advice I can give, and I’ll be talking a lot more about this on this site, is that of working with your mind. A lot of us do know what to do, but for some reason, can't bring the changes that we need into our lives. One of the biggest mistakes that can make “making healthy changes” a problem is make too many changes all at once. I was never good at easing into something, but you can still take one change and go hardcore with it, as long as it's only one or two changes.
If you're trying to go hard with too many habits at once the mind will resist, feel overwhelmed, start making excuses and justifications and this is when you get those times when you're doing something you feel is dumb and counter productive but you're doing it anyway, often with much resistance and negativity, which defeats the purpose of what you are trying to achieve. Once I realized and accepted that you have to treat your subconscious like a little bratty kid, I found a way to make it work for me and towards my goals as opposed to against me.
Once you understand the nature of the subconscious (which is there to protect you) you can work with it and make the change you need to make. Don't force yourself ahead too quickly or you end up taking a step back or worse, outright stop and quit.
Putting It All Together
I'm really glad you are here learning how to reduce belly and general body fat. Health and fitness is a huge problem globally now, though it is worse in north America for sure. We aren't told what things are good to eat and how the body works. Most North Americans grew up and had gotten used to getting our “facts” and “information” told by the media that promote consumption of brand name fast food and when the problem goes out of control, we are then directed to take pharmaceutical remedies to alleviate the illness these poisons created in the first place.
I feel very passionately to making it well known to people how to make the changes to one's body and one's life which include - the right basic knowledge and accurate information about the appropriate workouts, the proper, balanced and healthy diet and the right inner game.
